On the heels of the announcement and subsequent quick withdrawal of some "interesting" NC State basketball jerseys, we thought it would be great to allow you to have some input up front on your apparel by giving you the opportunity to submit and vote on some shirt designs!
We will now be holding a NC State Shirt Design Contest:
Here is how we are going to do it this time:
1. Create your design
We recommend using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to create your design. The design should be no more than 4 different colors.
2. Submit your design
Register for the site, then click "Submit Designs" from the top of the main page.
Submit your design, including both a large graphic (610px × 300px) as well as a thumbnail (160px X 79px). We know those dimensions are random, but hey, that's how we roll.
3. Promote your design
Let your family and friends know that you have some skills. Post your designs and talk them up on message boards and send people over to vote!
Prizes:
This contest will be ongoing and each design that is chosen as a winner will get $100 cash and $100 store credit. We will also give $1 to the V Foundation for each winning shirt sold.
How are winners chosen?
There will be a variety of factors used to determine the winners. Factors will include the number of votes and ratings a design gets, the comments surrounding the design, and where the votes and comments are coming from.
Guidelines/Rules:
-
Submit as many designs as you would like!
- Submissions should incorporate verbiage or logos from NC State. To see some of those logos, take a look here:

- We plan to choose at least one winner by Saturday, Oct 31st, hinging on the number of entries
- All designs chosen as winners will be submitted to the University and to the Licensing Resource Group for approval prior to printing
- The artwork you are submitting is solely your own and no one else can claim it
- If your design is chosen as a winner, you acknowledge that you assign to Apparel U, LLC the entire right, title, and interest in and to the copyright of your design and the right to further sublicense the design for its use on clothing, advertising, and posters.
- Apparel U can change these guidelines at any time without further notice
